After a multiply-delayed plan got rolling, the bunch of us finally made it to Purity Diner in Park Slope for a hearty breakfast: pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs over easy, eggs over medium, and corned beef hash.
To realign the 'ol blood sugar, we went for a walk up to prospect park, amid children and adults dressed in their Halloween finest. It was an oddly warm, yet overcast day. Perfect because it felt more like a moon-lit 2am rather than 2pm. The witching hour. Heavy clouds alternated with lighter ones, from perfectly soft light to an imbalance between light and dark. The lightest drizzle drifted in and out, almost imperceptibly.
